Why be a 60 watt light bulb when you can be 100?

Of course now it's really lumens we are dealing with instead of watts, but you get the point.

If I was made to be a megawatt light used in spotlights, stadiums or rescue missions, why would I settle for being a 60-watt or 100-watt light bulb?

In humanistic terms, if I was made to be a teacher, CEO, software engineer, doctor, mentor, philanthropist or mother, why would I settle for something less? What stops me? Why does it stop me? What limiting thought do I have that justifies settling for less?

Humans are creatures of progression. Our music, movies, books and news describe how we encounter change and prevail over challenge. We love to see someone come out on top of their deathmatch with tragedy, disease, oppression, career turns, and lost love. Taylor Swift has built her brand on this - the downs then ups of life, how we are stronger and more capable when we overcome that which tries to keep us down.

It sounds very aspirational to be brighter. But it can truly happen. I have seen a lot of dark days and some of that will spill onto this webpage at some point, just so that you know I'm real. But what I'm most interested in focusing on is how the darkness can be turned to light so we really can be megawatt bulbs - be what we're meant to be.

"If we all did the things we are capable of doing we would literally astound ourselves" - Thomas Edison
